Fill the chair. Every chair.
AI receptionist answers, confirms, recalls, and recovers no-shows — straight into Software of Excellence, Dentally or Carestream R4. Out-of-hours triage built to BDA red-flag rules, no clinical advice ever.
One UK practice's annual no-show loss. 1 in 7 NHS appointments missed. Recoverable, in your voice, this month.

What changes when AI gets the call instead.
No-show rate at early adopters
Damira Dental Studios cut no-shows by 18% switching to AI receptionist (Boxly, 2025). Recall batches go out evenings and weekends without staff overtime.
New-patient enquiries converted
After-hours and lunchtime calls used to die at voicemail. Now they convert. Multilingual (EN / DE / FR / ES / PL) without hiring receptionists who speak each one.
Saturday overtime
Recalls and treatment-plan follow-ups run on Callsy time, not your reception team's. SOPs and audit logs mirror your CQC reception checklist.
How the call actually goes.
The transcript below is real. Audio sample drops next.
Wired into your practice management system.
What your week looks like.
- 1 in 7 NHS slots wasted — empty hygienist chair is £80–£300 of lost revenue per hour
- Reception swamped at lunch — incoming new-patient calls drop to voicemail
- Recall calls become evening + Saturday overtime, staff burn out
- Out-of-hours dental emergencies go straight to NHS 111 — patient finds a different practice
- Confirms, books and recalls straight into SOE / Dentally / R4 — no double-handling
- Triages BDA red-flag symptoms (trauma, swelling, persistent bleeding) and pages the on-call dentist
- Recall batches go out in the evening, in your voice, with WhatsApp follow-up to no-answers
- CQC-aligned audit log of every call, every booking, every escalation
“The AI Receptionist is intuitive and reliable. We're excited to see how it reduces admin while enhancing the patient experience.”

Questions buyers in dental practices actually ask.
Anything missing? hello@callsy.ai.
How does it handle NHS vs private booking?
It checks NHS eligibility, captures exemption codes, books NHS slots into your NHS diary and private into private — exactly as your SOE / R4 templates are configured. FP17 fields stay clean. UDAs allocated to the correct dentist's list.
Will it know when to escalate a dental emergency?
Yes. If a caller mentions trauma, facial swelling spreading, bleeding that won't stop, or knocked-out adult teeth, it follows the BDA red-flag list and pages the on-call dentist instead of booking a routine slot. Vulnerable adults and children get human escalation by default.
Can it do recall calls?
It rings 6-month recalls in batches, offers two slot options, books straight into the hygienist's column, and sends an SMS confirmation. Patients who don't pick up get a WhatsApp follow-up. No reception overtime needed.
Is it GDPR and CQC compliant?
EU-hosted, full call recording with consent prompt, special-category data handling (health data is GDPR Article 9). Audit trail mirrors your CQC reception SOP. No clinical advice given — it books and triages only, never diagnoses.
What about treatment plan follow-up?
It rings patients who haven't booked their accepted treatment within 14 days, answers the finance question (Denplan / Practice Plan / 0% credit), and books the next slot into the dentist's diary. Implant and Invisalign close rates lift the most.
